All drivers must attend the drivers meeting at 4.45pm where a marble draw will determine their time-trial order.

Comp Cams "Qualifying"

Every driver runs 2 laps by themselves and the fastest of the two laps become their official qualifying time.

If a driver cannot take their place in the time-trial order, they may record one time at the end but can only qualify 11th fastest at best.

Drivers must go directly to the scales after time trials and when directed by officials after heat races.

If 24 drivers or less are nominated, the drivers receive the following points for their position in qualifying :

  Heat Races

The 36 fastest cars from qualifying are placed directly into the heat races.

The fastest car in qualifying starts from position 10 in the first heat, second fastest from position 10 in the second heat, third fastest from position 10 in the third heat, fourth fastest from position 9 in the first heat, and so on. Otherwise known as a 10-car inversion.

If there is less than 6 non-qualifiers outside the fastest 36 cars, they tag the back of the heats. If there are more than 6 non-qualifiers outside the fastest 36 cars, they will run non-qualifier race(s).

Drivers run 2 heats each and points are scored for the positions that each driver finishes as follows :

  1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th 9th 10th 11th 12th 13th 14th
Finish 25 20 16 13 11 9 7 5 4 3 2 1 1 1

Cars who do not finish a heat race will not be awarded finishing points

* At Parramatta City Raceway, 48 cars will qualify for the heats with 4 heats per set. If less than 8 non-qualifying cars, they will tag the back of the heats, if more than 8 non-qualifying cars, they will run non-qualifier race(s).

Votex Wings "Dash" Races

At the completion of qualifying and heat racing, all the drivers points are accumulated and the top 12 point scorers then race in two 6 lap races called the "Dashes"

The finishing order of the dashes setup where the drivers start in the nights big event - the A-Main.

The winner of Dash 1, starts from position 1 in the A-Main.
The winner of Dash 2 starts from position 2 in the A-Main etc...

The driver with the highest points from the two dash race winners at each round will receive a brand new Vortex Front Wing courtesy of Vortex Racing Products.

Wanless World Series Sprintcars Feature Races

At the completion of qualifying and heat racing we take into account the finishing positions of the dashes, then the points standings of the rest of the field.

Depending on the number of cars, we start with the lowest features which are the D and C Mains.

This C-Main accommodates the drivers ranked 29th to 44th in the standings from either heat races or non-qualifier races. The D-Main if required and time permits is for the cars that have qualified 45th onwards from either heat races or non-qualifier races.
