Johnson Leads American Assault On World Series Sprintcars Friday, 3 July 2009 by N A S R National Office Latest News

The ‘Ragin Cajun’ Jason Johnson is preparing for a full-scale assault on the 2009/10 World Series Sprintcars Championship with team owner Allan Haynes.

While it represents the first occasion they have teamed up the duo are no strangers to the national tour. Johnson burst onto the WSS scene in 2003/04 pushing eventual winner Max Dumesny all the way to the crown.

The US sensation then became a WSS regular for the Disbury Family Racing outfit with 14 career WSS feature victories but is yet to capture the ultimate prize, painfully finishing runner up on 3 occasions. Last season Johnson only contested Speedweek taking out the Mount Gambier and Warrnambool rounds so it is with great pleasure that the National Association of Speedway Racing (NASR) welcome him back to contest the entire schedule.
